Read the WSMS (formerly WP SMS) terms and conditions outlining usage rules, responsibilities, and legal information.
1. Who We Are

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of all Services provided by VeronaLabs OÜ. By using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Definitions

3. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using our Services — including browsing our websites, creating an Account, or purchasing Products — you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our Services.
You must be at least 16 years of age to use our Services.
These Terms are supplemented by our Privacy Policy and Support and Refund Policy. In the event of a conflict, these Terms take precedence unless the supplementary document explicitly states otherwise.
4. Account Registration and Responsibilities
An Account on my.wsms.io is required to purchase Add-ons and manage Licenses.
When you create an Account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and current information
- Keep your password confidential and secure
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your Account
- Notify us promptly at hi@veronalabs.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your Account
We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your Account where you have failed to maintain the security of your credentials.
5. Products and Licensing
5.1 The Free Plugin (GPL)
The WSMS plugin is distributed on WordPress.org under the GNU General Public License v2 or later (GPLv2+). VeronaLabs honors all rights granted by the GPL, including the right to use, modify, and redistribute the source code.
5.2 Premium Add-ons
Add-ons are sold as annual Subscriptions through our website. The source code of Add-ons is also licensed under GPLv2+.
A License grants you:
- Access to download the Add-on from your Account
- Updates released during the active Subscription period
- Priority support during the active Subscription period
5.3 What a License Does NOT Include
Purchasing a License does not grant you rights to:
- Trademarks and branding — the names “WP SMS,” “WSMS,” “VeronaLabs,” and associated logos (see Section 9.2)
- Access to update servers, my.wsms.io, or support after your Subscription expires
- Future versions released after your Subscription expires
5.4 License Tiers
Licenses are available in multiple tiers — Single Site, 5 Sites, and Unlimited — each limiting the number of WordPress installations on which the Add-on may be activated. Current tier details and pricing are available on our pricing page.
6. Purchases, Payments, and Subscriptions
6.1 Payment Processing
All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details on our servers. Prices are listed in USD, with VAT applied where indicated at checkout. Price changes do not affect active Subscriptions until the next renewal.
6.2 Subscriptions and Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically on an annual basis. You may cancel auto-renewal at any time from your Account dashboard. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not provide a mid-cycle refund for the current period.
After your Subscription expires, you will no longer receive updates or support. However, any Add-on code you have already downloaded continues to function — the GPL ensures your right to use and modify it.
6.3 Product Delivery
All Products are delivered electronically. After a successful purchase, Add-ons are available for immediate download from your Account on my.wsms.io.
6.4 Refunds
We offer a 14-day refund policy. Full details are available in our Support and Refund Policy.
7. Product Compatibility and Updates
- Products are designed to work with currently supported versions of WordPress and PHP. Specific requirements are documented on each product page.
- Updates are provided during your active Subscription period.
- We do not guarantee compatibility with third-party plugins, themes, or custom code.
- We may drop support for older WordPress or PHP versions with reasonable notice to active subscribers.
8. Support
Support is available to active subscribers through our support center. Support is subject to the terms outlined in our Support and Refund Policy.
Support does not cover:
- Conflicts caused by third-party plugins or themes
- Server configuration or hosting issues
- Custom development or code modifications
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 Source Code and GPL
The source code of the Plugin and Add-ons is licensed under GPLv2+. Nothing in these Terms restricts the rights granted to you by the GPL.
9.2 Trademarks and Branding
The names “WP SMS,” “WSMS,” “VeronaLabs,” and all associated logos and visual marks are trademarks of VeronaLabs OÜ. These marks are not covered by the GPL and may not be used to imply endorsement by, affiliation with, or sponsorship by VeronaLabs without our prior written consent.
9.3 Website Content
Non-code content on our websites — including text, images, documentation, and design — is copyrighted by VeronaLabs OÜ and is not covered by the GPL. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without permission.
9.4 User Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas regarding our Products or Services, we may use them without any obligation to you.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use our Services in violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with license verification or activation mechanisms
- Share License Keys beyond the activation limits of your License tier
- Attempt unauthorized access to our servers, systems, or networks
- Scrape, crawl, or extract data from our websites by automated means without permission
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or entity
11. Modifications to Products and Services
We may modify, update, or discontinue any Product or Service at our discretion.
- Material changes to active Products will be communicated to subscribers with reasonable notice.
- Price changes only take effect at the next Subscription renewal — your current period is unaffected.
- If we discontinue a Product during your active Subscription, we will offer a pro-rata refund or an equivalent alternative at our discretion.
12. Warranties and Disclaimers
12.1 Limited Warranty
We warrant that our Products will perform substantially as described in their documentation when used on compatible systems during your active Subscription.
12.2 Disclaimer
Beyond the limited warranty above, our Products and Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that our Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.
12.3 SMS Delivery Disclaimer
VeronaLabs does not send SMS messages. The Plugin enables users to connect their own SMS gateway. We bear no responsibility for message delivery, delivery fees, SMS content, or compliance with telecommunications regulations. These are entirely between you and your SMS gateway provider.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or your use of our Products and Services is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) EUR 100.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunity.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including mandatory EU consumer protection rights.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold VeronaLabs OÜ harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of our Products or Services
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- SMS messages sent through your gateway using our Plugin
- Content you transmit through or in connection with our Products
This indemnification does not apply to claims arising from our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
15. Termination
15.1 By You
You may stop using our Services at any time. To close your Account, contact us at hi@veronalabs.com.
15.2 By Us
We may terminate or suspend your access:
- Immediately if you materially breach these Terms
- With 30 days’ notice for any other reason
15.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your access to your Account, downloads, updates, and support ceases
- Any Add-on code you have already downloaded remains yours to use under the GPL
- Sections covering intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law survive termination
- Any outstanding payment obligations remain due
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
16.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
16.2 Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tallinn, Estonia, except where mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.
16.3 If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, as provided by EU Regulation 524/2013. Where mandatory under your local law, you retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
17. EU Consumer Rights
- Your statutory rights under EU consumer protection law are not affected by these Terms.
- Digital content withdrawal right: By downloading Add-ons immediately after purchase, you acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal under Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU, as the performance of the digital content has begun with your prior express consent.
- Our 14-day refund policy provides equivalent or greater protection in practice.
18. Copyright Claims
If you believe that material on our websites infringes your copyright, contact us at hi@veronalabs.com with:
- Identification of the copyrighted work
- The location of the infringing material on our website
- Your contact information
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The revision date is shown at the top of this page.
For material changes, we will notify registered users via email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of our Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
20. General Provisions
- Entire agreement — These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Support and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and VeronaLabs regarding the Services.
- Severability — If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
- No waiver — Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
- Assignment — You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights without restriction.
- Force majeure — We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- Headings — Section headings are for convenience only and have no legal effect.
- Language — These Terms are drafted in English. In the event of a conflict between translations, the English version prevails.
