Getting Started with WP SMS Pro

Welcome to WP SMS Pro! This guide will walk you through the installation and initial setup process to get your WordPress site sending SMS notifications in no time.

Installation

From WordPress Dashboard

1. Navigate to Plugins → Add New
2. Search for “WP SMS Pro”
3. Click Install Now and then Activate

Manual Installation

1. Download the plugin from our website
2. Upload the wp-sms-pro folder to /wp-content/plugins/
3. Activate the plugin through the WordPress admin

Initial Configuration

After activation, you’ll see a new SMS menu in your WordPress admin sidebar. Let’s configure the essential settings:

Step 1: Choose Your SMS Gateway

WP SMS Pro supports over 200 SMS gateways. To configure yours:

1. Go to SMS → Settings → Gateway
2. Select your preferred gateway from the dropdown
3. Enter your API credentials
4. Click Save Changes

Step 2: Configure Sender Settings

1. Navigate to SMS → Settings → General
2. Set your sender ID (the name that appears on recipients’ phones)
3. Configure your default country code

Step 3: Enable Notifications

1. Go to SMS → Notifications
2. Enable the notifications you want to send
3. Customize the message templates

Testing Your Setup

Before going live, let’s make sure everything works:

1. Go to SMS → Send SMS
2. Enter your phone number
3. Type a test message
4. Click Send

If you receive the message, congratulations! Your setup is complete.
